WHY JOIN?

The Victoria Road Area Residents’ Association (VRARA) was formed in 1982 to preserve and enhance the character of this attractive part of Kensington. We live in a conservation area and so the residents and the Council strive to preserve and enhance the area for its historical and architectural interest, balancing the needs of residents and development.

The VRARA Committee consists of a local resident from each street. We are volunteers who seek to maintain the character of our area, while addressing ongoing concerns of residents and supporting social events. Membership is open to all who live in the Victoria Road Area whether you are a homeowner or a tenant. The annual subscription is £25.00 per household to include upto four adult members..

The Committee meets regularly to discuss critical local issues and make representations to the relevant authorities including:

We achieve our objectives by maintaining contact with relevant officers and committees including:

GETTING MORE INVOLVED

If you are interested in the local area and would like to get involved please do join VRARA.  Street representatives are volunteer members and there is normally one representative per street and one deputy so that there is always full cover at the informal committee meetings which take place in Christ Church from 1830-2000 on five or six weekday evenings a year. You would be most welcome.

If you have a non-commercial local event that needs publicising or have an interesting idea for an article or feature to put on this website or if you would like to know more please contact the Secretary, Bettina Wagner on 07921 576145 or by email: secretary@vrara.org.uk.

If you would like to contact the Chairman, Michael Bach, he can be reached by email: chair@vrara.org.uk.
